Ali Raye McCord, 45, of Pleasant Hill, was born February 13, 1980, in Kansas City, the daughter of Kevin M. and Katherine S. (Biggerstaff) Caldwell. She departed this life, Monday, November 24, 2025.
Ali was a 1998 graduate of the Son Ray School in Raytown. She went on to earn her associate's degree from Longview Community College and her bachelor's degree from Southwest Baptist in Bolivar.
October 11, 2003, she was united in marriage to Jason V. McCord at Swope Park in Kansas City, and to this union two boys, Jacob and Owen were born.
Ali was previously employed at H&H Color Lab in Raytown and Honeywell FM&T in Kansas City. Most recently her love of children led her to become a Title-I paraprofessional for the Pleasant Hill R-III school district where she was currently working in the Primary School and was very active with the "Bright Futures" program. She enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, and rehabbing furniture. Above all she loved time spent with her family especially her two sons.
Ali is survived by her husband, Jason and two sons, Jacob (17) and Owen (14) of their home; her parents, Kevin and Katherine Caldwell of Raytown; two sisters, Rachel (and Taylor) Cunningham of Lee's Summit, and Molly (and Brennen) Cleveland of Holt; her in-laws, Ronald and Carolyn McCord of Pleasant Hill; brother-in-law, Ryan (and Hallie) McCord of Blue Springs; sister-in-law, Caitlin (and John) Blake of Harrisonville; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Grace Family Fellowship, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 5, 2025, at Grace Family Fellowship. Pastor Dan Knight officiated. Casket bearers were Brennen Cleveland, Eddie Wynn, Ron McCord, Ryan McCord, and Taylor Cunningham; honorary Kevin Caldwell. Cremation followed services.
Memorial contributions are suggested to her sons’ education fund (make checks payable to Jason McCord) or to Bright Futures.
