Allan Ray Deardorff, 72, of Pleasant Hill, was born April 30, 1951, in Butler, Missouri, the son of Vernon and Patricia A. (Lowe) Deardorff. He departed this life Sunday, May 14, 2023, at his home.
Allan was a 1970 Kansas City Center High School graduate.
On August 23, 1986, he was united in marriage to Tammy Lynn (Stone) Deardorff.
Allan was first employed for his family on the Deardorff Sod Farm. He then became a driver for J.B. Hunt where he achieved over one million miles traveled. He was currently employed as a driver for Max Motors. He had a joke loaded and ready to tell for any situation and has never met a stranger. He enjoyed traveling, casinos, watching westerns, and listening to classic country music. More than anything he enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.
Allan was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy of Pleasant Hill; his children, Allan Wayne (and Kim) Deardorff of Adrian, Dana McCarty of Pleasant Hill, and Nicholas (and Jackie) Bohannon of Osceola; 11 grandchildren, Samantha (and fiancé Tyler Howard) McCarty, Conner Deardorff, Chance (and fiancé Martha Ramos) Bohannon, Mathew Bohannon, Bryce Deardorff, Wyatt Deardorff, Kyler Bohannon, Kynlee Bohannon, Kayse Bohannon, Brady Gray, and Cale Costanza; 1 great grandchild, Aurora Bohannon; 2 brothers, David (and Lynn) Deardorff of Kansas City, and Roger (and Tracy) Deardorff of Spruce, his mother-in-law, Joyce Stone of Pleasant Hill; his sister-in-law, Kelli (and Russ) Voorhees of Pleasant Hill; and many other loved relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the funeral home.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 19, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were grandsons Tyler Howard, Conner Deardorff, Chance Bohannon, Mathew Bohannon, Bryce Deardorff, Wyatt Deardorff, and Kyler Bohannon. Honorary casket bearers were Kayse Bohannon, Brady Gray, and Cale Costanza.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Tammy Deardorff and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
