Allan Hoover

Allan Hoover, 57, of Pleasant Hill, was born Tuesday, November 1, 1955, in Harrisonville, Missouri, the son of Harry Allan, Sr., and Wilma Jean (Carlile) Hoover. He departed this life on Sunday, December 23, 2012, at his home.

He was a 1973 Pleasant Hill High School graduate and a member of the Pleasant Hill Community of Christ Church.

On October 12, 1974, he was united in marriage to Karen Jean Fulks in Pleasant Hill.

Allan was a teamster with union local #955 for 31 years retiring in 2009. For 14 years, Allan served as a volunteer hunter education instructor with the Missouri Department of Conservation. Allan's passion for the outdoors and desire for others to experience what the outdoors had to offer grew into the Missouri Hunting Heritage Federation (MHHF) where he served as Executive Director.

Allan was preceded in death by his father and one sister Connie Jo Hoover.

Allan is survived by his wife Karen of the home; four children Travis A. (and fiancAC. Kelly) Hoover of Independence, Missouri, Richard D. (and Karen) Hoover of Agency, Missouri, Stacie J. (and DJ) Hubler of Pleasant Hill, Brent D. (and Melynda) Hoover of Box Elder, South Dakota; his mother Jean Hoover of Pleasant Hill; one sister Twila Foley of Osceola, Missouri; nine grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

A celebration of life visitation was held Sunday, January 20, 2013, at the Community of Christ Church, Pleasant Hill.
