Allen Bunch

Harold Allen Bunch 81, a lifelong resident of Pleasant Hill, was born September 13, 1934, in Pleasant Hill, the son of Harold J. and Dorothy (Hutchison) Bunch. He departed this life at 1:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at the Cass County Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville.

Allen was a 1952 Pleasant Hill High School graduate. He proudly served in the Missouri Army National Guard's 110th Engineers division from 1955 to 1963.

On May 20, 1961, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Osborn in Lowry City, Missouri.

Allen was a self employed cattle hauler and operated the family "Bunch" farm near Pleasant Hill. He retired in 2010. He enjoyed working his farm, two- step dancing, visiting friends and relatives, and going to sales. He was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Marjorie of the home; one brother Wayne (and Phyllis) Bunch of Adrian; three nephews, Ted Bunch of Raytown, Michael Bunch of Harrisonville, and Lynn Bunch of Pleasant Hill; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 25, 2015, at the funeral home.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 26, at the funeral home. Reverend Todd MacLean of the Big Creek Baptist Church officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with full military honors by the National Guard and the V.F.W. Post #3118 Honor Guard. Casket bearers were Lynn Bunch, Mike Bunch, Ted Bunch, Sam Helt, and Charles Terrill. Honorary bearers were Jim Browning, Brian Bunch, Jay Bunch, Steve Ezell, Don Sousley, and Harvey Sprinkles.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hickory Grove Baptist church or St. Jude's and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
