BILL WHITE

William Allen “Bill” White, Jr., 68, of Kingsville, was born, January 5, 1951, in Kansas City, the son of William A., Sr. and Delores Mae (Bauman) White. He departed this life, Monday, September 23, 2019, at the St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City.

Bill was a 1969 Pleasant Hill High School graduate. He furthered his career through the Kansas City Plumbers Apprentice School.

On July 5, 1973, he was united in marriage to Zoe Janelle Sharp in Pleasant Hill and to this union their daughter Amara was born.

Bill was a union plumber spending his entire career with the Schick Plumbing Company and was a member of the Plumbers Union Local #8. He was an avid pool player and was a member of the BCA, APA, and Outlaw pool leagues. He enjoyed working outside, mowing and gardening, going to movies, and watching and attending all sporting events, especially his granddaughter Samara’s.

Bill’s main priority was his family. He was a devoted husband of 46 years to Zoe and was tremendously proud of his daughter and granddaughter and cherished all time spent with them.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Zoe of Kingsville; his daughter, Amara Bruno of Pleasant Hill; his granddaughter, Samara Bruno of Pleasant Hill; one brother Mike (and Sandy) White of Pleasant Hill; one sister, JoAnne (and Dave) McDaniel of Pleasant Hill; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded.

Visitation will be held 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the funeral home.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the funeral home.  Reverend D. Kent Deubner will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill First Christian Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
