Billy Ellsworth

Billy Joe Ellsworth, 70, of Independence, Missouri, formerly of Pleasant Hill, was born Thursday, March 13, 1941 in Broseley, Missouri, the son of Vernon and Gladys Mae (Clack) Ellsworth. He departed this life at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Kansas City Hospice House surrounded with love and family.

He attended Broseley High School and was a United States Navy Veteran.

On July 4, 1995, Billy was united in marriage to Sue (Stroud) Henry in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Billy was a gifted welder and mechanic.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Jerry Ellsworth.

He is survived by his wife Sue of Independence; two sons Donnie (and Jana) Barclay of Holden, Missouri, and David (and Jody) Ellsworth of Point, Texas; three daughters Debbie (and Nolan) Thomas of Greenville, Texas; Teresa Barclay of Independence, and Rebecca (and Michael) Ruth of Blue Springs, Missouri; four sisters Shirley Walls of Broadus, Texas, Wanda (and Don) Downs of Palm Desert, California, Brenda Mondy and Sue (and Richard) Morse both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service was held at the Brown's Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.
