Bonnie Jean Moore, 89, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born January 24, 1936, in Lenexa, Kansas, the daughter of John and Juanita (Stinson) Hallisey. She departed this life Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at her home in Pleasant Hill.
On December 24, 1969, she was united in marriage to Harold Lloyd Moore during the Christmas eve service at the New Haven Baptist Church in Raytown, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 1, 2021.
Bonnie was employed for many years as a supervisor for the Old American Insurance Company in Kansas City. Later she worked as a cashier for Cosentino's Price Chopper in Pleasant Hill and as a Mary Kay Sales Rep. She was an active member of the Red Hatters. She was a doll maker, liked to sew, and loved shopping. She was especially fond of her dogs, especially Baxter who has rarely left her side in the past several months.
Bonnie was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Judy Harrelson.
She is survived by five children, Don (and Bonnie) Worthington of Overland Park, Kansas, Karen (Buddy) Sellers of High Spring, Florida, Stephen (and Diana) Worthington of Raytown, Michael Moore of Greenville, South Carolina, and Steve Moore of Independence, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Casada of Florence, Mississippi; other relatives and friends.
Cremation has been accorded.
A graveside memorial service was held Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pastor David Noble officiated.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Lay Clergy of which Bonnie was an avid supporter. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.
