Bryan E. Smith

Bryan Eugene Smith, 51, of Pleasant Hill, was born October 6, 1974, in Merriam. He departed this life Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the Kansas University Medical Center.

Bryan was a 1993 Pleasant Hill High School graduate.

On October 14, 1995, he was united in marriage to Leslie Michelle Jones in Las Vegas and to this union two children, Alyssa and Zackary were born.

Bryan was employed as a Sales Manager for Nettles Construction Solutions for 21 years. He enjoyed spending time at their lake house, going on Caribbean cruises and was an avid Chiefs fan. Above all he enjoyed time spent with family.

Bryan was preceded in death by his father Charles Smith and stepfather, Kenneth Gentry.

He is survived by his wife Leslie of Pleasant Hill; two children Alyssa Smith of Holden and Zackary Smith of Pleasant Hill; his mother Nancy (Stephens) Gentry of Odessa; two brothers, David (and Tammi) Smith of Lee's Summit and Stephen Smith of Odessa; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the funeral home, where everyone was encouraged to wear the Chiefs apparel.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
