Carrie Jo (Smith) Curtis, 52, of Independence, formerly of Pleasant Hill and Collins, departed this life Sunday, December 29, 2025, at the Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Visitation will be held 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Her brother Randy Smith will officiate.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Christmas for Kids and maybe sent in care of the funeral home.
