Chadrick Michaell Campbell, 33, of Strasburg, was born, August 8, 1988, in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life, Saturday, January 1, 2022, at his home.
Chad was a 2007 Pleasant Hill High School graduate.
He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving in the Global War on Terrorism in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom from August 2007 to May 2011.
Chad was employed as a Truck Driver for Hixson Lumber in Pleasant Hill. He owned and operated Campbell’s Woodworking and Restoration in Colorado and Campbell Creekside Woodworking in Pleasant Hill. He was gifted with anything using his hands especially woodworking, painting, and drawing. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, listening to music, and a good cigar. He especially loved riding his Harley. Most of all he will be remembered as a people person; a kindhearted, good person, who never met a stranger.
Chad was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Floyd and Louise (Yadon) Campbell and his maternal grandparents, Loren Albert Sloan and Linda (Parris) Walker.
He is survived by his son, Zane Michaell Campbell of Peyton, Colorado; his daughter, Alayna Terina Adams of Ruskin, Florida; his father and stepmother, Rocky and Ellen Campbell of Pleasant Hill; his mother and stepfather, Jayne (Sloan) and Rick Cline of Pleasant Hill; two brothers, Chase (and Heather) Campbell of Opelika, Alabama, and Chance (and Channing) Campbell of Pleasant Hill; one sister, Chanie Campbell of Pleasant Hill; stepsisters, Megan (and Jake) Thompson of Troy, Missouri, Kaylee (and Chris) Foley of Pleasant Hill, Jamie (and Keith) Ratliff of Oak Grove; step-grandmother Margaret Cline of Kingsville, and grandfather Charley Walker of Pleasant Hill; his fiancé Kailey Ross and her three children, Cash Griffith, Claire Griffith, and Corelai Ross all of Strasburg; two nieces; two nephews; other relatives and friends. And his dog Bo.
Visitation was held Sunday evening, January 9, 2022, at the funeral home.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 10, 2022, at the funeral home. Reverend Jim Vest officiated. Graveside military services and interment were in the Sni-Mills Cemetery, Oak Grove, with full military honors by the United States Marine Corps and the V.F.W. Post #3118 Honor Guard. Casket bearers were Chase Campbell, Chance Campbell, Bruce Sloan, Shane Sloan, Keith Higgs, Kolton Ross, and Darren Prendergast. Honorary casket bearers were Brandon Shaw, Chanie Campbell and Korbin Ross.
Memorial contributions maybe directed to the funeral home to help offset the funeral expenses. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.
