Charles Clark

Charles William Clark of Pleasant Hill, Missouri was born February 19, 1930 in Marshall, Missouri the son of Charles Claude and Susan K. (King) Clark. He departed this life Saturday, September 23, 2006 at his home in Pleasant Hill at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 4 days.

Charles was united in marriage to Beverly Jo Dinges in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Charles was employed as an engineer for AT&T, Lee's Summit, Missouri until his retirement in August of 1988. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War. Charles was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill and the Lee's Summit Jaycee's. He enjoyed his dog, Heidi, his garden, growing roses and wood working. Charles never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone. He had lived in Lee's Summit before moving to Pleasant Hill in 1962.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Green.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly J. Clark of the home; two sons, Greg Clark and fiancAC., Sally, Raymore, Missouri, Tim Clark and fiancAC., Linda, Greenwood, Missouri; a daughter, Julie Duffield and husband, Doug, Lee's Summit, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kevin, Chris and Nick; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September, 26, 2006 at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill. Pastor Preston Sanders officiated. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
