Christopher Neil "Louie" Colvin, 49, of Blue Springs, formerly of Pleasant Hill, was born, June 29, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Larry Lee and Beverly Sue (Williams) Colvin. He departed this life Wednesday, September 10, 2014, in Blue Springs.

Louie was a 1983 Pleasant Hill High School graduate; following high school he attended the Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. He was employed by Roadway Express/Yellow Freight for over 25 years.

In 1990 he was united in marriage to Judy Mae Cook in Miami, Oklahoma. They later divorced. They had one daughter, Sephora Blake Colvin, who he loved and adored with his whole heart.

Louie was an avid domino player, storyteller and always entertaining by sharing jokes with family and friends bringing laughter to all those around him. He loved movies, working out and spending time at the lake. His infectious smile would light up the room the second he walked in it; always knowing he was the "potential" lottery winner. His beautiful heart, sweet spirit and soul will be missed by all who knew him.

Louie is survived by his daughter Sephora Colvin of Kansas City, Missouri; his parents Larry and Beverly Colvin of Pleasant Hill; one brother Russell Colvin and his wife Pam of Lee's Summit; one sister Robin Hill of Blue Springs; his paternal grandmother Frances Colvin of Nevada; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of many friends.

Visitation was held Sunday, September 14, 2014, at the funeral home.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 15, 2014, at the funeral home. Pastor Todd MacLean of the Big Creek Baptist Church officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Matt Davis, Bob Case, Clint Colvin, Jake Colvin, Russell Colvin, and Rick Davidson.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Missouri Baptist Childrens Home and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
