Christopher Joseph Puskarich, 65, of Pleasant Hill, formerly of Lee’s Summit was born October 4, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Joseph J. and Mamie Doris (Gage) Puskarich. He departed this life Monday, December 2, 2024, at his home.

On November 4, 1977, he was united in marriage to Janet M. Tudor in Lee’s Summit, and to this union two children Bryan and Bridget were born.

Chris was employed as a Diesel Mechanic for Lee’s Summit R-7 School district. He had also worked for the Waid’s Restaurant in Lee’s Summit. Growing up in Kansas City he attended Christ the King Church. He was a gifted mechanic who loved working on cars and was quite the handyman using those skills working around his home. He had numerous aquariums and enjoyed raising and selling fish to local area pet stores.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Doris; sister Jan Shirk and one son, Bryan Puskarich on April 28, 2007.

Chris is survived by his wife Janet of Pleasant Hill; his daughter and son-in-law, Bridget and Kyle Hefele of O’Fallon, Missouri; three grandchildren, William (and Brianna) Stanley, Caitlyn Rogers, Morgan Stanley, and one great grandson Kia Stanley; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded. No services are scheduled at this time.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Animal Shelter and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
