Constance "Coni" Marie Ballard, 65, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born December 15, 1949, in Ravenna, Ohio, the daughter of Frederick Richard and Rita Mae (Norton) Glose. She departed this life at 1:08 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at home surrounded with love and family.

Coni was a 1968 McCluer Senior High School, Florissant, Missouri, Graduate and a 1981, St. Leo College, St. Leo, Florida Graduate. She was a United States Vietnam Era Air Force veteran.

Coni was employed as a Computer Security Programming Technician for the United States Navy. She was a gifted programmer, who was delayed retirement, due to her irreplaceable knowledge and experience. Locally she was active with the Food Pantry and had worked for Cookie Jars and More.

She was a wonderful mother, and was active in the 4-H and Girl Scouts; and she coached baseball and soccer. She loved gardening, cooking, and cave exploring. She was especially fond of cats; and no stray cat was ever turned away from her home. She lived life to the fullest.

Coni was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her companion and best friend, Edward C. Ryan of the home; one son, Barry W. Ballard of New Port News, Virginia; one daughter and son-in-law Carissa and Michael Stein of Swanton, Vermont; three grandchildren, Brandon Ballard, Amber Ballard, Bella Ballard; her mother Rita Cobb of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Frederick (and Edith) Glose of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three sisters, Kathleen McMiller of Pleasant Hill, Kristina Heupel of Middleton, Missouri, and Corrine Grasso of Florida; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded. The family will host a memorial gathering 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 2015, at here home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Wayside Waifs and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
