Corey Foley

July 15, 1986 — September 4, 2010

Corey Ray Foley, 24, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Tuesday, July 15, 1986 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of David and Sandy (Cutshall) Foley. He departed this life Saturday, September 4, 2010, at the Lake of Ozarks, near the Gravois Mills arm, as the result of an accidental drowning.

Corey loved the outdoors especially spending time out on the boat with his family and friends at the lake. He loved hanging out with friends, cooking out, drinking beer, and partying with them. He lived a pretty wild life, but was always there for anyone who needed him. He was all about family, especially respect for family and loved spending time with his son Parker, whom he affectionately called "LIL MONSTER". Every one of his friends considered him their best friend from girls to guys. He was a charmer and as his brother said, "He could charm the change off of a homeless man"; he could tell you the sun was purple and convince you of it. He was the most loving caring human being and he had a knack for making everyone feel good about themselves. He had the most beautiful blue eyes and a smile that would light up the room when he walked in, and he loved to laugh, have fun and play jokes. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother Sandy David on March 27, 2006.

He is survived by his son Parker Foley and Parker's mother Lindsey Shelton of Lenexa, Kansas; his father David "Buzz" Foley and his wife Karen of Collins, Missouri; three brothers Rusty Foley and his wife Amber of Strasburg, Missouri, Kevin Foley of Pleasant Hill, and Michael Culbertson of Holden, Missouri; two sisters Tami Ball and her husband Russell, and Teresa Foster all of Humansville, Missouri; Paternal grandparents Richard and Rosalie Foley of Collins, Missouri; Maternal grandparents Russell and Beverly Cutshall of Pleasant Hill; three nephews Tyler, Wyatt, and Levi; two nieces Emma and Sierra; several aunts, uncles and cousins; other relatives and many friends.

Cremation has been accorded. A celebration of Corey's life was held on Friday, September 10, 2010, at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home. Reverend D. Kent Deubner, Mr. Kevin Foley, Mrs. Lindsey Shelton, and Mr. Jason Boman officiated. Inurnment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at a later date.
