Dolores Sue Grahl, 85, of Pleasant Hill, was born February 13, 1930, in Fortesque, Missouri, the daughter of Ralph E. and Susan Elizabeth (Ripley) Summers. She departed this life at Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City.

Sue was a 1948, Skidmore, Missouri, High School Graduate.

On March 26, 1949, she was united in marriage to Carl Bernhardt Grahl in Pierre, South Dakota. He preceded her in death on December 26, 2008.

Sue was employed in Purchasing for the Methodist Hospital in St. Joseph, Missouri, and later for St. Luke's in Kansas City. She was a member of the Skidmore Order of the Eastern Star and was Past Secretary of the Avion Travel Club. She enjoyed cross stitch, oil and toll painting, and crossword puzzles. Although she didn't play the game she truly enjoyed watching the golf channel every day. She was a wonderful mother.

Sue was also preceded in death by her brother, Ralph A. Summer.

She is survived by three sons, David Grahl of Columbus, Ohio, Keith Grahl (and Harry Anderson) of Kansas City, and Kirt (and Lori) Grahl of Kansas City; three grandchildren, Kelley (and Scott) Meirose of St. Joseph, Ashley (and Cody) Crank of North, Kansas City, and Nathan (and FiancAC. Thea) of North Kansas City; three great grandchildren, Cole, Caleb, and Carter; other relatives; and friends.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at the funeral home. Reverend D. Kent Deubner officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were David Grahl, Keith Grahl, Kirt Grahl, Cody Crank, Nathan Grahl, and Scott Meirose.
