Dale White

July 27, 1937 — October 21, 2010

Henry Dale White, 73, of Kingsville, Missouri, was born Thursday, July 29, 1937 in Coal, Missouri, the son of Henry Noel and Forest Lucille (Brown) White. He went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 3:04 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the John Knox Village Care Center in Lee's Summit after a courageous battle against cancer.

On February 4, 1956, he was united in marriage to Lillian Ellen Sears in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. They were married for 50 years before she preceded him in death on November 19, 2006.

Early in Dale's life he was a Parts Man for International Harvester in Holden; later he went to work for Bendix as a machinist staying with them for over 30 years and retired from there. All through his working career he and Ellen also owned and operated their cattle farm in Kingsville. He attended Kingsville Baptist Church.

His hobbies included flint knapping, tending to his cattle, following politics and sharing his opinions through letters submitted to local newspapers.

He had a huge heart and was a caregiver to many people. He absolutely adored all three of his granddaughters and cherished the time he spent with each one of them.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by one son Jim White of Kingsville; two daughters Cheryl Tompkins of Holden and Cindy (and Mark) Gipple of Raymore; 3 Granddaughters Mary Ann Peterson of Holden and Delaney and Kennedy Gipple of Raymore; one brother Tom (and Linda) White of Nixa; two sisters Phyllis (and Orbon) McMillian of Clinton, and Nellie (and Larry) Zvacek of Holden; other relatives and many close friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 25, 2010, at the funeral home. His brother Reverend Tom White of the Fremont Baptist church officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Mark Gipple, Art Robbins, Samuel Root III, Matt Savage, Daniel White, and Duane White.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Village Care Hospice or the Kingsville Baptist Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
