Dennis Elliott

Dennis Lloyd Elliott 57, of Pleasant Hill, was born September 12, 1956, in Harrisonville, the son of Lloyd Hugh and Fern Ann (Terril) Elliott. He departed this life at 10:50 a.m., Saturday, April 19, 2014, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, surrounded with love and family.

Dennis was a 1974 Pleasant Hill High School graduate.

Dennis has been a farmer his entire life owning and operating Elliott Farms near Pleasant Hill. In his spare time he enjoyed collecting old car memorabilia and antiques and was an avid vintage car enthusiast. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill First Christian Church and a member of the Dairy Farmers Association.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, one son Adam Elliott, one sister Karen Ware, and one brother-in-law Doug Kruse.

He is survived by one son Daniel K. Elliott of Pleasant Hill; one daughter, Corinne S. Elliott of Pleasant Hill; one step-son, Benjamin Cunningham of Elkhorn, Nebraska; one granddaughter Adyson Elliott of Pleasant Hill; one brother Dale (and Kailonie) Elliott of Pleasant Hill; two sisters Linda (and John Paul) Dobson of Higginsville, Missouri, and Loraine (and Gary) Gardner of Sacramento, New Mexico; two nephews Jacob Elliott and Brian Bunch of Pleasant Hill; one niece Carrie Jennings of Grain Valley; other relatives and many friends.

Visitation was held Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the funeral home.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 24, 2014, at the funeral home. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Jim Akers, Corey Flatden, Thomas Hartsell, Randy Jackson, Mike Kircher, Dave Parris, and Ronnie Parris. Honorary casket bearer Russell Parris.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill First Christian Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
