Dennis Tallman

Dennis "Dennie" Lyle Tallman, 67, of Pleasant Hill, was born, July 10, 1948, in Kansas City, the son of Ray and Thelma (Skaggs) Tallman and foster parents Forrest and Jessie (Noland) Smith. He departed this life at 3:48 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at the Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville, surrounded with love and family.

Dennie worked on his family farm and for other farmers throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed walking, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his many friends and family. He especially found great happiness in lending a helping hand to others. He was a lifetime member of the Everett Community Church, Archie.

Dennie was preceded in death by his parents and foster parents.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Sandra Tallman of Archie; his foster sister and brother-in-law Phyllis (Smith) and William Irwin Sr. of Pleasant Hill; Nephew Steve (and Renea) Tallman of Archie; Niece Sherrie (and Tom) Sweeney of Iowa; Nephew Paul (and Sandy) Tallman of Adrian; Nephew D.J. (and Vanessa) Tallman of Adrian; Nephew Neal (and Courtney) Tallman of Adrian; 8 Great Nephews; 5 Great Nieces; 3 Great Great Nieces; 1Great Great Great Nephew and a host of many friends.

Cremation has been accorded.

Memorial services were held Sunday, March 20, at the Everett Community Church, Archie. Inurnment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
