Dennise A. Bowyer

Dennise Ann Bowyer, 63, of Marshall, Missouri, was born June 29, 1962, in Harrisonville, the daughter of Richard LeRoy and Margaret Ann (Kruse) Cline. She departed this life Friday, October 17, 2025, at the St. Luke’s Hospice House with family at her side.

Dennise grew up in the Kingsville area and was a 1980 Kingsville High School graduate.

On June 28, 1980, she was united in marriage to Curtis Mallinson and to this union two children, Andy and Robin were born; they later divorced. On September 1, 2008, she was united in marriage to Justin Bowyer in Edwards and he brought with him three children to their family, Tyson, Crystal, and Caryne; he survives.

Dennise was employed by Ed and Ann Clemmons as a Paralegal for Clemmons Law Office in Pleasant Hill for 38 years. She and Justin also owned and operated several businesses in Marshall, Missouri. She was a member of the DeWitt Christian Church. She enjoyed working on the farm and gardening. She used her love of horticulture to grow and cultivate Aronia Berries which she used to make muffins, barbeque sauce, juices, and wines to sell through her Rock’n Aronia Berry Trailer. She was also an active member of the American Aronia Berry Association. She also enjoyed sewing, traveling, dancing, and caring for her pets. Above all she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dennise was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Margaret Cline and one brother, Phill Cline.

She is survived by her husband Justin of Marshall; 5 children, Andy (and Jacqueline) Mallinson of Sedalia, Robin (and Roger) Conner of Nevada, Tyson (and Erin) Bowyer of Jefferson City, Crystal Bowyer (and Troy Pierce) of Hinsdale, Illinois, and Caryne (and Shane) Gordon of Fulton; 18 grandchildren, Reid, Marci, Maggie, Karleigh, Makinsey, Logan, Zach, Jett, Lillian, Ella, Bo, Archer, Georgia, Preston, Emerson, Lena, Ada, and Malcolm; 3 great grandchildren, Trevor, Taylen, and Weston; 1 brother, Rick (and Jayne) Cline of Pleasant Hill; other relatives and a host of many friends.

Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Big Iron Town, 29608 E 179th St., Pleasant Hill, Missouri 64080.

Visitation will also be held 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the DeWitt Christian Church, Ninth & Madison, DeWitt, Missouri 64639.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Larry Lybarger will officiate. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Casket bearers are Andy Mallinson, Roger Conner, Tyson Bowyer, Shane Gordon, Troy Pierce, and Randall Weiseman. Honorary casket bearers are Nathan Bowyer and Rick Cline.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Aronia Berry Association, DeWitt Christian Church, or St. Luke’s Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
