Donald Clifford Duffey, 75, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born December 14, 1950, in Ulysses, Kentucky, the son of Donall Eugene Duffey and Vada Ellen (Johnson) Ports. He departed this life Saturday, February 14, 2026, at his home with family at his side.

On April 21, 1971, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Lynn Rodgers in North Kansas City, and to this union four children, Donnie, David, Dirk, and Susan were born.

Don was employed as machine operator for Regal Plastics in Kansas City, where he was a member of the United Auto Workers Local #710. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a quiet and private person but was a jokester to his family and friends. He enjoyed reading, especially sci-fi and westerns and especially loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, David Duffey Jr.; and two siblings, Neal Ports and Lori Duffey.

His survived by his wife of 55 years Cheryl Duffey of Pleasant Hill; four children Donnie (and Janet) Duffey of Independence, David (and Tami) Duffey of Sugar Creek, Dirk (and Samantha) Duffey of Stanberry, and Susan (and Kurt) Schroer of Pleasant Hill; seven grandchildren, Johnathan Duffey, Sydney Duffey, Mark Duffey, Mary (and Ian) Huffman, Connor Hodges, Addison Schroer, and Olivia Schroer; three siblings, Kathy Wells, Tony (and Sharon) Duffey, and Cindy (and Bo) Ainsworth; other relatives and friends.

Per Don's wishes. Cremation has been accorded. No services are scheduled.

Inurnment will be in the Ira Borders Cemetery near Ulysses, Kentucky, at a later date.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Heartland Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
