Donna M. Hofschild

Donna M. Hofschild, 69, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born, March 31, 1952, in Wheaton, Minnesota, the daughter of Myron C. and Alma C. (Raguse) Mueller.  She departed this life, Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the Lee’s Summit Medical Center, Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

Donna was a 1970 graduate of the Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.  She went on to earn her degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

On June 11, 1977, she was united in marriage to Robert William “Bob” Hofschild in Wisconsin Rapids.

Donna was a Teacher at the Assumption High School in Wisconsin Rapids and for the Mid-State Technical College in Adams-Friendship, Wisconsin. Following retirement she worked for the Wisconsin Rapids Shopko Department Store.  She was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church where she attended the M&M Bible Study.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and playing cards.  She most enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents. 

She is survived by her husband, Bob of Pleasant Hill; two daughters and their husbands, Nicole and Doug Abel of Lee’s Summit and Carissa and Greg Abel of Pleasant Hill; three grandchildren, Callie Abel, Cole Abel, and Ethan Abel; two brothers, Gary (and Sue) Mueller of Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Todd (and Nancy) Mueller of Kildeer, Illinois; two sisters, Dawn (and Jim) Weaver and Marla Mueller, both of Wisconsin Rapids; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held Friday, February 25, 2022, at the funeral home.

Funeral serviceswere held Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Reverend James Stanfield-Myers officiated. 

Graveside services and interment were held Monday, February 28, 2021, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Lay-Clergy Council and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
