Elisabeth Ann Miller, 58, of Pleasant Hill, Mo., was born September 20, 1956 in Olathe, Kansas. Elisabeth (Liz) is the daughter of Bruce D. and Marlene J. (Bausch) Voigts. Liz left this world at 5:02 p.m.,Tuesday March 3, 2015, at home surrounded by the love of her family.

Liz was a 1974 graduate of Osawatomie High School. Liz attended Emporia State University. Prior to Liz's illness, she was a professional Executive Secretary for Richard Sullivan, Attorney at Law. Liz worked numerous years for Mary Kay Cosmetics Headquarters in Dallas, Texas. We believe this is where Liz learned the love of cosmetics.

On July 2, 1983, Liz and Kervin (Buz) Miller were united in marriage in Rush Center, Kansas.

Liz was an active member at the Amazing Grace Lutheran Church in Pleasant Hill, Mo. Liz served as Church Secretary for a period of time, as well as being active in the Lutheran Women Missionary League.

Liz enjoyed reading, cooking, and staying up late. Liz loved spending her spare time with her 4 grandchildren; this was her true passion and put her whole heart into spending every minute with them.

Liz is survived by her husband, Kervin (Buz), of Pleasant Hill, Mo., one daughter, Natalie Knox (Colby) of Harrisonville, Mo, two sons, Jonathan Miller, Jacksonville, FL, and Jeremie Miller (Erica) Fort Worth, Texas, four grandchildren, Lyla & Laydon Knox, Alexandra & Wyatt Miller, two sisters, Pam Stainbrook (Gary) Stilwell, Ks, Stacy Ptacek (Frank)Louisburg, Ks, and one brother, David Voigts (Karen), Excelsior Springs, along with numerous nieces and nephews, and many, many, friends.

Visitation will be at Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home on March 9th from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Funeral services were held March 10th at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Lee's Summit, Mo. Pastor William "Bill" Schroeder officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket Bearers were Jeremie Miller, Jonathan Miller, David Voigts, Gary Stainbrook, Ike Brady, Jim Miller, Richard Sullivan, John Smith. Honorary casket bearers were Frank Ptacek, Derrick Jensen, Gene Hudson, Terry Sells and Bob Miller.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Amazing Grace Lutheran Church building fund, and/or the American Arthritis Foundation.
