EVERETT L. BROWN

Everett Lavern Brown, 85, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born, April 12, 1935, in Cedar County, Missouri, the son of Everett E. and Ruby A. (Gregg) Brown.  He departed this life Friday, December 11, 2020, at Autumn Terrace Health and Rehabilitation in Raytown, Missouri.

On September 28, 1953, he was united in marriage to Sylvia Ruth Stephens in Warrensburg, Missouri.  She preceded him in death on December 30, 2004.

Everett was employed for 30 years in Utilities for the Ford Motor Company retiring in 1998. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union Local #249, the Grace Family Fellowship, Pleasant Hill, and the Elm Gun Club.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, and was active in the church. He also loved building black powder rifles and leather crafting.

Everett was also preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Faye Brown; one brother, Ronald Brown; two sisters, Violet Owens and Mary Moore; one step-brother, Dale Foster; two step-sisters, Dorothy Jennings and Ruby Mahan.

He is survived his children, Cynthia (and Robert) Williams of Farmington, New Mexico and Mark (and fiancé Bonnie Cagle) Brown of Raytown; two grandchildren, Crystal Williams of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Josh Brown of Raytown; step grandchildren, Tim (and Audrey) Williams of Blue Springs, Missouri and Ramona Dunn of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; great grandchildren, Lizzie (and Garrett) Ogle of Oak Grove, Missouri, Kendall Williams of Blue Springs, and Kaiya Dunn of Lee’s Summit; one brother, Jerry (and Beth) Brown of Warrensburg; one sister, Linda Ann Brown of Fayetteville, Missouri; other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services were held Thursday, December 17, 2020, at the Parker Cemetery, Creighton, Missouri.  Reverend Roger Smith of the Grace Family Fellowship officiated.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
