Flora A. Fondren

Flora Ann Fondren, 85, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born April 3, 1938, in Fowler, California, the daughter of Jack and Margaret (Barr) Heinrich.  She departed this life Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Ignite Medical Resort St. Mary’s in Blue Springs.

Flora was a 1956 Fowler High School graduate.

On May 17, 1958, she was united in marriage to Lemuel Fondren, Jr., in Fowler.  He preceded her in death on November 10, 2010.

Flora was a Homemaker and worked part time for Del Monte Canning in Kingsburg, California.  She enjoyed shopping, traveling, sewing, and was a wonderful cook.  She truly enjoyed being a homemaker.

Flora was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jack Heinrich; and one sister, Eleanor Dahl.

She is survived by three children, Pam Fondren of Independence, Missouri, Becky (and Royce) Denton of Exeter, California; and Duane (and Jennifer) Fondren of Pleasant Hill; eight grandchildren, Kyle Fondren (and Jessica Cordell), Jennifer (and Bo) Guinn, Erin (and Jared) Plumlee, Ryan Denton, Alyssa (and David) Pfefer, Jacob Tyler, Taylor (and Brandyn) Grube, and Eli Fondren (and Peyton Thorne) ; nine great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Linda (and Jerry) Bermen of Fresno, California; other relatives and friends. 

Cremation has been accorded. Inurnment was held  Monday, October 23, 2023, in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville.
