Gail Leroy Springer

 Gail Leroy Springer, 49, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born October 9, 1975, in Harrisonville, the son of Kennie L. and Glenda L. (Hutson) Springer. He departed this life on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at his home.

Leroy was a 1994 Harrisonville High School graduate.

On September 18, 1999, he was united in marriage to Durenda Waldren in Harrisonville; they later divorced.

Leroy has spent his entire career in glass repair. He first started working for the Glass Doctor, later for Safelite Auto Glass, and was currently employed with the Kryger Glass Co. He enjoyed racing R.C. Cars, collecting anything with skulls, working on classic cars and Volkswagen Bugs. He loved cooking and smoking meat and trips to the Cactus Shack in Pleasant Hill. He was a quiet person who kept to himself but was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Leroy is survived by his children, Sylvia Springer and Trenton Springer, both of St. Joseph, Missouri; his mother, Glenda Springer of Harrisonville; siblings, Jerry (and Bonnie) Morris of Perry Lake, Kansas, Deborah Plumley of Owings, Maryland, and Anna (and Thomas) Wiles of Adrian, Missouri; his fiancée, Delissa Miller of Harrisonville; Dellissa’s children, Bella Blacketer and Xavier Blacketer, both of Harrisonville; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father on September 30, 2011.

Visitation and funeral services were held Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the funeral home. Pastor Ernie Cecil officiated. Cremation was accorded following services. Inurnment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at a later date.
