Gerald Schlagle

Gerald Leroy Schlagle, 62, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, formerly of Peculiar, was born September 18, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Bert Lee and Barbara Jo (Bryson) Schlagle. He departed this life at 4:12 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Lee's Summit Medical Center.

Gerald was a 1969 Grain Valley High School Graduate.

On September 4, 1970, he was united in marriage to Donna Jean Stuart in Buckner, Missouri.

Gerald owned and operated Schlagle Foundation. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one great granddaughter Sophie Leanne Lyon Schlagle.

Gerald is survived by his wife Donna of the home; two daughters Melissa Schlagle, and Geri Anne Schlagle, both of Pleasant Hill; three grandchildren Chris and Davin Schlagle of Grain Valley, and Kaylin Smith of Garden City; one brother Elmer "Gene" Schlagle of Pleasant Hill; one sister Rosetta (and Greg) Beemer of Pleasant Hill; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.

Cremation has been accorded. The family held a memorial visitation Sunday, April 28, 2013, at their home at 209 Lexington Rd in Pleasant Hill.
