Gordon Bell

August 30, 1955 — May 13, 2016

Gordon Ray Bell, 60, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, formerly of St. Louis, was born, August 30, 1955, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the son of Richard and Doris (Fleetwood) Bell. He departed this life Friday May 13, 2016, at his home.

He was a 1974 graduate of the Brentwood High School in St. Louis. He later graduated from the State Fair College in Sedalia and furthered his education at the University of Missouri, Rolla.

Gordon was an entrepreneur and was gifted in all aspects of construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and attending field trials; he especially enjoyed reading. He was a member of the Lee's Summit Community Church and the Kansas City Retrievers Club.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Doris Bell.

He is survived by his children, Cody (and Meghan) Bell, and Michele ( and John) Wilson, all of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Catch Wilson and Vida Wilson of St. Louis; one brother Greg Bell of Sedalia, Missouri; other relatives, and friends.

Cremation has been accorded.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at the funeral home. Pastor Doug Brown of the Lee's Summit Community Church officiated. Inurnment will be on his farm near Triplett, Missouri, at later date.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lee's Summit Community Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
