Harry D. Pate

October 18, 1937 — July 20, 2022

Harry Dean Pate, 84, of Pleasant Hill, was born, October 18, 1937, in Owensboro, Kentucky, the son of Eli and Cleo (Mickel) Pate.  He departed this life, Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at his home surrounded with love and family.

Harry grew up and attended high school in Davis County, Kentucky.

He was a United States Navy Veterans.

On June 24th, 1961, he was united in marriage to Anna Janelle Long at the Lone Jack Baptist Church.

Harry was employed as a Union Painter for Local #9 in Kansas City.  He was a member of the Lone Jack Baptist Church.  He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and he loved attending all their events. 

Harry was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Daymond Ray Pate; six siblings, infant Charles William Pate, Robert Pate, Pleasant “P.J.” Pate, Beulah Mayton, Bobbie Pate, and Paul Pate.

He is survived by his wife, Janelle of Pleasant Hill; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lonnie and Kathy Pate and Michael and Beth Pate of Pleasant Hill; five grandchildren, Abbey (and Justin) Thomas of Creighton, Andrea Pate of Pleasant Hill, Alex (and James) Pate of LaMonte, Austin Pate (and fiancé Jordanne Cahill) of Pleasant Hill, and Josey Pate of Pleasant Hill; 6 great grandchildren, Jayden Pate, Jet Thomas, Jagger Thomas, Jasper Thomas, Axle Pate, and Eva Pate; one sister, Mary Lillian of St. Louis; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 25, 2022, at the funeral home. Reverend D. Kent Deubner officiated.  Interment was in the Lone Jack Cemetery with full military honors by the United States Navy and the V.F.W. Post #3118 Honor Guard.  Casket bearers were Abbey Thomas, Andrea Pate, Alex Pate, Austin Pate, Josey Pate, and Jet Thomas. Honorary casket bearers were Jayden Pate, Jagger Thomas, Axle Pate, Jasper Thomas, and Eva Pate.
