Mrs. Mary Irene Shull, of Raymore, Missouri, was born June 14, 1914 in Hackleburg, Alabama, the daughter of James Daniel and Louisia Violane (Frederick) Hall. She departed this life Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at her home in Raymore at the age of 92 years, 3 months and 6 days.

On September 16, 1933, Irene was united in marriage to John Zebedee Rayburn in Alabama and later was united in marriage to Frank Nathaniel Shull on May 31, 1947 in Harrisonville, Missouri.

Irene was a homemaker. She was a member of the Strasburg Baptist Church, Strasburg, Missouri. Irene had live in Strasburg from 1955 until 2000 before moving to Lee's Summit, Missouri and then to Raymore. She loved to quilt, sew and garden.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Rayburn on December 25, 1945; her second husband, Frank Shull on February 19, 1966; a long time friend, Earl Lash on June 15, 2006; a daughter, Verlene Williams; two sons, Willie Gene Rayburn and Louis Franklin Shull.

She is survived by a daughter Kathy Pittman and husband Dennis, Raymore, Missouri; twenty grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; a brother, J.C. Hall, Metropolis, Illinois; two sisters, Dean Spears, Burmingham, Alabama, Terah Kinnard, Phil Campbell, Alabama; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleansant Hill, Missouri with burial in the Strasburg Cemetery, Strasburg, Missouri.

Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Abundent Life Baptist Church Building Fund.
