Jack Howard Mainprize, 85, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born September 6, 1929, in Thayer, Missouri, the son of Howard George and Lou Ella (Consalus) Mainprize. He departed this life Saturday, November 15, 2014, at John Knox Village House.

Jack was a 1947 Thayer, Missouri High School graduate.

He was a Korean War Veteran proudly serving in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps.

On July 3, 2002, he was united in marriage to Patricia M. Greathouse in Pleasant Hill.

Jack was a Real Estate Developer in Blue Springs and Pleasant Hill, Missouri. He was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3118, a Life Member of the Pleasant Hill Historical Society, a Life Member of the Optimists Club, and received the Lifetime Service Award from the Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce and the City of Pleasant Hill. Jack received the Pioneer of Real Estate Award from the KC Metro chapter of WCR and KCRAR in July of 2013.

Jack was preceded in death by his brother Coy G. Mainprize and one grandson Nathaniel Mainprize Cripps.

He is survived by his wife Pat of the home; his daughters, Natalie Hunter, and Renee Mainprize; Pat's daughters, Coral Watson and Martha Purtle; his grandchildren; his great grandchild; many other relatives and friends.

Per Jack's wishes cremation has been accorded. No services are scheduled. Inurnment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
