Jamee LaShawn Angerman, 63, of Pleasant Hill, was born November 28, 1959, in St. Louis, the daughter of James R. and Vida G. (Reed) Foster.  She departed this life Saturday, May 27, 2023, at her home with Erin, her daughter and her beloved cats at her side.

Jamee was a 1979 William Chrisman High School graduate.

Jamee was employed as a cashier for the Lee’s Summit Walmart. She had also been a bartender at T.J.’s Bar & Grill and Rooster’s Bar & Grill in Pleasant Hill. She was a member of the Life Quest Church, later attending Echo Church in Pleasant Hill.  In her younger years Jamee loved working with horses and barrel racing. She enjoyed watching crime shows, line dancing, collecting anything with wolves, and was an avid Chiefs fan.  She especially enjoyed going to dinner with friends.

Jamee was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by two children, Christopher Angerman of Harrisonville and Erin LaShawn Dickey-Powell of Pleasant Hill; two granddaughters, Maecy LaShawn Claiborne and Sydney Ann Claiborne, both of Ballard, Missouri; other relatives and a host of many friends.

Jamee loved all animals, and the family suggests memorial contributions to the Pleasant Hill Animal Shelter.  Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice for the care they provided Jamee during her last days.

Cremation has been accorded. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
