J.C. Johnson

John Cedric "J.C." Johnson, 53, of Pleasant Hill, was born Wednesday, August 17, 1960, at the Richards Gebaur Airforce Base in Belton, the son of Leo Butler and Gloria Ann (Lewis) Johnson. He departed this life onto a new road and onto a new journey, at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, October 08, 2013, at the Pleasant Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center.

J.C. was employed in construction and was a gifted sheetrock installer.

He was preceded in death by his father Leo in 1973 and his step-father John Fowler in 1994.

He is survived by his mother Ann Fowler of Pleasant Hill; two sisters Zina (and Eddie) Hammons of Harrisonville, and Theresa Johnson of Vinita, Oklahoma; three step-brothers; two step-sisters; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded. Memorial services were held Thursday, October 10, 2013, at the funeral home. Pastor Phil Kassel of the Pleasant Hill 1st Baptist Church officiated.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
