Jennifer Woodworth

November 4, 1950 — August 7, 2021

JENNIFER E. WOODWORTH

Jennifer Elaine “Jenni” (Larimer) Woodworth, 70, of Pleasant Hill, was born November 4, 1950, in Bridgeport, Nebraska.  She departed this life, Saturday, August 7, 2021, at the CenterPoint Medical Center in Independence.

Jenni was raised in Pleasant Hill where she went through school and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1968. She married and moved to Kansas City but returned to Pleasant Hill in 2009.

On September 24, 1983, she was united in marriage to Evan R. Woodworth in Kansas City.

Jenni was employed at several jobs but worked the best and longest as a Sales Representative for United Bakers Supply and Mid-Continent Paper Supply in Kansas City. She was a collector of everything from friends and antiques to animals. She loved traveling, antiques, thrift stores, spending time at the lake, her family, and friends. Jenni never met a stranger and developed life-long friendships wherever she went.  She was always available for a guiding hand, an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, a good cussing out, or kick in the behind (with love of course) when needed.  She will be missed by so many whose lives she touched with an indelible mark.

Jenni was preceded in death by her mother Claudine R. (Babylon) Larimer on May 10, 2009; four children, daughter Shalene Hedges who died at birth, son Shane Hedges who died September 5, 2016, daughter, Shannon Rehms-Jensen who died February 18, 2021, and son Shad Rehms who died April 9, 2021; a slew of aunts, uncles, and cousins who were already with Jesus in Heaven and their meeting again had to be a very joyful reunion to be sure.

She is survived by her husband Evan; one daughter, Sherri Hedges; ten grandchildren, Ashley (and Adam) Fanning, Kirstin Rehms, Tyler (and Erica) Fanning, Christopher Hedges, Kyle (and Sharon) Rehms, Lexi Rehms, Kaleb Hedges, Allisen Cordell, Katlyn Hedges, and Gracelynne Williams; 11 great grandchildren; siblings Cheryl Larimer, Kevin Larimer, Jack Larimer, and Chris Petefish several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of many friends.

A Celebration of Jenni’s life was held Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the funeral home.  Reverend D. Kent Deubner officiated.

Light refreshments were served at the Pleasant Hill First Christian Church following the service.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Animal Shelter (Make checks payable to the PH Animal Clinic) and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
