Lester James Nolan, Jr., 67, of Kingsville, Missouri, was born Wednesday, May 9, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Lester J. and Evalena (Reynolds) Nolan, Sr. He departed this life at 2:25 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Lee's Summit Medical Center.

Jim was a 1963 South East High School Graduate and a United States Vietnam Era Army Veteran.

On May 28, 1993, he was united in marriage to Georgene Ellen Marx in Kansas City, Kansas.

Jim owned and operated Nolan Heating & Cooling. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Holden, Missouri. In his spare time he enjoyed working on old cars, hunting and fishing. He especially loved golfing.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Jack Nolan and one sister Sharron Nolan.

Jim is survived by his wife Georgene of the home; Two sons James (and Dana) Nolan of Kansas City, Missouri, and Michael (and Heather) Nolan of Columbia, South Carolina; One daughter Lisa (and Enrique) Salazar of Raytown; Seven grandchildren Joshua Salazar, Mackenna Nolan, Jeffrey Nolan, Ema Salazar, Jillian Nolan, Alysia Salazar, and Cora Nolan; two brothers Ralph (and Marilyn) Nolan of Blue Springs, and Kenneth (and Sidney) Nolan of Sedalia; other relatives; and many friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday evening, September 5, 2012, at the funeral home. Jim's brother Reverend Ralph Nolan officiated. Cremation will be accorded following the service.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the VFW Post #3118 - Veterans Welfare Fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
