Joseph Nichols

Joseph Donald Nichols, 56, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born, Friday, March 1, 1957, in Chillicothe, Missouri, the son of Lowell and Patricia (DeLorme) Nichols. He departed this life at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, August 15, 2013, at the Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.

He was a 1975 Chillicothe, Missouri, High School Graduate. Joe owned and operated the J.D. Nichols HVAC Company in the Lee's Summit/Kansas City Area.

He loved Boating, cooking, and was an avid Fox News viewer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Joe is survived by one son, Bryce (and Lexie) Nichols of Pleasant Hill; one daughter, Brooklin (and Zack) Zimmerman of Omaha, Nebraska; one brother, Ronnie Nichols of Greenwood, Missouri; four sisters, Debbie Rawlins, Penny Nichols, Kim (and Kirk) Nielsen, and Rachel Nichols, all of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Marianne (and Brandon) Myers of Perth, Australia; five grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Cremation has been accorded. A memorial mass was held Saturday, August 24, 2013, at St. Marks Catholic Church, Independence, Missouri. Father James Taranto officiated.
