Joyce Edith Dimery, 89, of Holden, Missouri, was born November 10, 1935, in Glendale, California, the daughter of Dana and Dorothy (Bissel) Furbeck. She departed this life peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at her son's home.
Joyce was a 1953 Glendale High School graduate. In 1958 she was united in marriage to James W. Goad in Glendale. They later divorced. Joyce spent most of her life in California moving to Missouri in 2023 to be closer to family.
Joyce was employed as an inspector for Spectro Labs, a NASA subsidiary, in Sylmar, California. Later she worked for the Apple Valley, California, school district. She enjoyed painting, pottery, crafting, sewing, crocheting, and needlepointing.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her three sons, Norman (and Bev) Conant of Holden, Missouri, Scott (and Julie) Goad of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and Brian (and Laura) Goad of Bloomington, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Justin Goad, James Goad, Jeffry Goad, Heather Goad, Jackie Yanez, Lindsie Kee, Stephen Rupard, and Cameron Conant; five great grandchildren; one brother, Ronald (and Cheree) Furbeck of Springville, Utah; other relatives and friends.
Cremation has been accorded. No services are scheduled.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Animal Shelter and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
