JUANITA J. KING

Juanita Jean King, 86, of Raymore, formerly of Pleasant Hill, was born, February 7, 1932, in Weston, Missouri, the daughter of Norman and Ruby (Turpin) Goble.  She departed this life, Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the Research Medical Center surrounded with love and family.

Juanita was a 1950 Weston, Missouri, high school graduate.

On May 23, 1953, she was united in marriage to J.W. King in Iatan, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2012.

Juanita was also preceded in death by her Daughter, Rochelle Gray in January 2017, and two sisters, Dorothy Lemmon and Lorene Goodpasture.

She is survived by 2 sons, Tim (and Julie) King of Belton, and Kerry (and Sarah) King of Raymore; son in law, Mark Gray of Pleasant Hill; 7 grandchildren, Jason (and Lisa) Gray of Holden, Leanne Gray of Pleasant Hill, Ryan (and Carolyn) Gray of Pleasant Hill, Stacy (and George) Billings of Harrisonville, Scott (and Kim) King of Godley, Texas, Kevin King of Olathe, and Suzanne (and Nate) Richardson of Arnold; 12 great grandchildren; son other relatives and many friends.

Juanita was employed as an auditor for the Internal Revenue Service retiring in 1994.  She was a member of the South Haven Baptist Church in Raymore and a former member of the Big Creek Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church both of Pleasant Hill.  She enjoyed volunteering at church, flower arranging, camping, scrap booking, gardening, and just enjoying time visiting with people.

Visitation was held Thursday, May 24, 2018, at the funeral home.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 25, 2018, at the funeral home.  Reverend Todd MacLean officiated.  Cremation has been accorded inurnment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Big Creek Baptist Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
