Linda Kay Vochatzer, 86, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born April 1, 1940, in Hutchinson, Kansas, the daughter of Aaron Bliss and Elvera (Schoenthaler) Dubach. She departed this life Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Homestead Estates Assisted Living of Leawood.
Linda was a 1958 graduate of Ellis High School in Ellis, Kansas.
In June 1960, she was united in marriage to Wallace F. Caskey in Ellis and to this union four children, Troy, Eric, Craig, and Jennifer were born. Wallace and Linda later divorced. On January 18, 1986, she was united in marriage to Jack M. Vochatzer in Raytown, which he brought to their family, Charles, Jack Jr., Karl, and Pattie. Jack preceded her in death on July 27, 2025.
Linda was employed as the Chief Financial Officer for City Union Mission in Kansas City for over 30 years. She was a member of the Raytown Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and watching sports, including the Royals, Chiefs, and all KU sports. Above all she loved time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Linda was also preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by eight children, Troy (and Kenda) Caskey of Lake Winnebago, Eric Caskey (and Jaime Huntoon) of Olathe, Craig Caskey, and Jennifer (and Paul) Beatty, Charles (and Linda) Vochatzer of Dallas, Texas, Jack Vochatzer, Jr. of Independence, Karl (and Annette) Vochatzer of Oregon, Patti (and Brandon) Yearta; sixteen grandchildren, including Austin Caskey, Taylor Caskey, Regan (and Eliot) Forton, Alex Caskey, Carter Caskey, Zoe Caskey, Kelen (and Jacob) Welsh, Tristen Caskey, Hailey Taylor, and Hannah Taylor; nine great grandchildren including, Frederick Caskey and Dove Della Forton; one brother, Aaron (and Sylvia) Dubach of Dallas, Texas; other relatives and friends.
Visitation and funeral services were held Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the funeral home. Mr. Greg Griffin officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Taylor Caskey, Austin Caskey, Alex Caskey, Carter Caskey, Eliot Forton, and Jacob Welsh.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the City Union Mission and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
