Lorenzo Bowen

Lorenzo "Bud" Bowen, Jr. 77, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born September 23, 1936, in Fossil, Wyoming the son of Lorenzo, Sr. and Martha (Layland) Bowen. He departed this life at 6:44 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2014, at the Lee's Summit Medical Center.

Bud was a 1954 Pleasant Hill High School Graduate and was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran.

On July 30, 1960, he was united in marriage to Margaret Speir in Pleasant Hill, Missouri.

Bud was a salesman for Brad Ragan, Inc. retiring in 2000.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife Margaret of Pleasant Hill; four sons, Rick Bowen of Pleasant Hill, Steven Bowen of Charleston, South Carolina, Mike Bowen of Olathe, Kansas, and Randy Bowen of Pleasant Hill; one brother Gene Bowen of Montrose, Colorado; seven grandsons; two granddaughters; four great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Per Bud's wishes cremation has been accorded and no services are scheduled.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
