Marion Jeanette Buhl, 87, of Belton, Missouri, formerly of Norman, Oklahoma, was born September 22, 1938, in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Arthur Elwen and Alice Elizabeth (Dale) Griffith. She departed this life Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the Belton Regional Medical Center.
Jeanette was a 1956 graduate of John Marshall High School in Los Angeles.
On October 17, 1959, she was united in marriage to Ronald Edward Buhl in Glendale, California and to this union two sons, Craig and Michael, were born.
Jeanette started working as a flower shop clerk at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills Cemetery in Los Angeles. The couple later moved to Norman Oklahoma where she took a job with General Motors for 10 years before taking early retirement. After she and Ron had both retired, they bought a motor home and proceeded to travel all around the United States, Canada and Alaska. During their journeys they would stop at golf courses to play a round of golf together. Jeanette changed the scoring rules to allow her to beat Ron occasionally, which she loved! She enjoyed crocheting, needlepointing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who always loved it when Mema would fix them bologna and cheese sandwiches toasted in the oven
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents.
