Margaret Helen Bunch, 97, of Pleasant Hill, was born September 22, 1928, near LaTour, the daughter of Jay V. and Mary E. (Smith) Graham. She departed this life Thursday, November 20, 2025, at her daughter, Lisa's home in Branson.
Margaret grew up in Pleasant Hill and attended Pleasant Hill High School.
On October 8, 1948, she was united in marriage to Prior D. Bunch in Harrisonville; he preceded her in death on November 26, 1992.
Margaret was first employed at the A.D. Mohr Greenhouse in Pleasant Hill. She later worked for Bendix in Kansas City for 35 years and retired in 1988. She was a lifetime member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Pleasant Hill Lions Club, the Snappy Seniors, and volunteered regularly for the Pleasant Hill Lay Clergy. She was a gifted seamstress and made many of her children's clothes when they were young. She enjoyed crafting, working in her flower beds, fishing, spending time at the lake, cooking, and dancing.
Margaret was also preceded in death by her parents; one great grandson, Johnathan "J.T." Dunlap; one brother, Jerry Graham; and two sisters, Dean Nay and Jean Rodgers.
She is survived by her children; Carol Pryor of Pleasant Hill, Jay (and Chlorine) Bunch and Donald Blaine (and Helen) Bunch Sr. of Harrisonville, and Lisa (and Chuck) Harmon of Branson; eight grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; one brother, Toby (and Marcella) Graham of Dayton; other relatives and many dear friends.
Visitation and funeral services were held Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the funeral home. Pastor James Stanfield-Meyers officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Rick Pryor, Brian Bunch, Kyle Jennings, Donald Blaine Bunch Jr., Robby Harmon, Anthony Spurgeon, and Austyn Spurgeon. Honorary casket bearers were Gayle Pryor, Carrie Jennings, Sunee Harmon, and Hollie Youngblood.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Lay Clergy and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
