Marie Kyle

Della Marie Kyle, 84, of Pleasant Hill, was born January 23, 1942, in Winston, Missouri, the daughter of Samuel Milo and Ada Viola (Leach) Seek. She departed this life peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026, at her home surrounded with love and family.

Marie grew up in Independence and attended Truman High School.

On August 14, 1982, she was united in marriage to Matthew Lloyd Kyle and devoted her life to taking care of him.

Marie was employed as a psychiatric attendant at Western Missouri Health where she worked with children. Following retirement, she worked at Broadway Village in Pleasant Hill and helped deliver for Meals on Wheels. She was a devoted member of the Pleasant Hill First Christian Church and a Life Member of the Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3118. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches, and dancing. She loved vacations and traveling with her husband and family. She especially cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Family gatherings and time spent together brought her the most enjoyment.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; stepdaughter, Kelly Canada; granddaughter, Latisha Marie Uselton; brothers, Wildford Seek, John Seek, Charles Seek, and Ray Seek; and one sister, Betty Borchers.

She is survived by her loving husband Matt; her three children, Theresa Roscoe, Lisa (and Tom) Faulkenberry, and Angela (and Dan) Seetin; two stepchildren, Tammy Kyle and Matthew Kyle; two siblings, Kenneth Seek and Wanda (and Rick) Wahn; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jeff Faulkenberry will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mount Washington Cemetery in Independence. Casket bearers are Edward Steiner, Mathew Steiner, Benny Uselton, Sam Uselton, Sean Faulkenberry, and Steve Champion. Honorary casket bearers are Terry Faulkenberrry, Tom Faulkenberry, and Dan Seetin.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Auxiliary to the V.F.W. Post #3118 and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
