Marilyn Faye Mills, 81, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born, November 5, 1940, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, the daughter of Alfred and Lilly (Pederson) Lundberg. She departed this life, Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the Belton Regional Hospital.
On October 1, 1995, she was united in marriage to David Lee Mills in McMinnville, Texas.
Early in her career Marilyn operated Russell’s Café and the Blackhawk Inn in Adrian. She later went to work for Marion Laboratories in Kansas City. Following retirement, she became a Reflexologist. She truly loved helping all her clients. She was a former member of the South Haven Baptist Church in Belton and was a current member of the Manna Church in Pleasant Hill. She will be remembered fondly for the many greeting cards she shared with family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, and bunco, traveling, and working with essential oils.
She loved spending time with family and always looked forward to the bonfires and Easter egg hunts with all the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Lilly Lundberg; two sons, Brandon Stich and Shane Stich; two brothers, Daryl Lundberg and Conrad Lundberg; and two sisters, Lorraine Vorwerk and Shirley Coffee.
She is survived by her husband, David Mills of Pleasant Hill; two sons, Randy (and Becky) Russell of Pleasant Hill and Elphy Stich of Harrisonville, Missouri; five stepchildren, Denise (and Roger) Culpepper of Harrisonville, Rhonda (and Wess Heavner) Pittman of Independence, Missouri, Renee (and Mike) Campbell of Belton, Missouri, Angela (and Joe) Stacy of Gravette, Arkansas, and Brian (and Lori) Mills of Belton; 21 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Services were held at the at the Manna Fellowship Church, Pleasant Hill, Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
Visitation was held 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Rick Friesen officiated. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Casket bearers were Derrick Stich, Chance Russell, Chase Russell, Seth Orozco, Jacob Whitney, and Josh Whitney.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Manna Fellowship Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
