Marilyn Timmons

Marilyn Sue "Susie" Algozzini-Timmons, 59, of Pleasant Hill, was born February 1, 1955, in Valparaiso, Indiana the daughter of George and Marilyn Jane (Schaller) Algozzini. She departed this life at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at the Research Vitas Hospice Center, Kansas City, surrounded with love and family.

Susie was a 1973 Gainesville Missouri High School graduate later earning her associates degree from the Metropolitan community colleges.

On May 17, 1976, she was united in marriage to Keith Eugene Timmons in Miami, Oklahoma. They later divorced.

Susie was employed by the United State Department of Agriculture retiring in 1999.

She enjoyed the simple things in life and nature. She especially enjoyed long Sunday afternoon car rides.

Susie was preceded in death by her mother Marilyn on February 22, 1992 and a sister Jeanette Algozzini in 1966.

She is survived by two sons, Matthew J. Timmons of Raytown, Missouri and Samuel L. Timmons of Pleasant Hill; two grandchildren, Gavin Timmons of LaMonte, Missouri, and Akaia Timmons of Belton, Missouri; her father and step-mother George and Glenna Algozzini of Urich, Missouri; two brother's Paul (and Linda) Algozzini of Redondo Beach, California, and Frank (and Glenda) Algozzini of Charleston, South Carolina; one sister Georgette Elder of Grain Valley, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

The Recitation of the Rosary was held Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the funeral home followed by visitation.

A funeral mass was celebrated Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the St. Bridget Catholic Church, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Monsignor Robert Murphy officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Anthony Algozzini, Frank Algozzini, John Algozzini, Paul Algozzini, Nick Chitwood, Charles Key, Matthew Timmons, and Sam Timmons.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Vitas Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
