Marisela McKinley

Marisela Garcia McKinley, 60, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born November 11, 1965, in Naica Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Hector and Carmen (Reyes) Garcia. She departed this life Saturday, January 3, 2026, at her home in Pleasant Hill.

Marisela grew up in Naica graduating from high school in 1983.

On September 18, 1987, she was united in marriage to Robert A. McKinley Sr. in El Paso, Texas.

Marisela was employed at the Pleasant Hill Veneer Plant in the early 1990's and later at Dillons in Pleasant Hill, and for the Dollar General Store in Harrisonville, but overall, she was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing and camping (especially at Pomme de Terre) and watching scary movies. She had a love for all pets and animals and had different kinds of pets in her care throughout her life including her current dogs, Daisy, Luna, and Anya. Above all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Marisela was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Hector Benito Reyes and two sisters, Xochitis Reyes and Martha “Lola” Aranda.

She is survived by her husband Robert McKinley Sr. of Pleasant Hill; three children, Marisol Mckinley-Rodriguez of Pleasant Hill, Robert (and Maria) McKinley Jr. and Crystal McKinley of El Paso, Texas; three grandchildren, Carter McKinley, Anakin Rodriguez, and Ezekial Rodriguez; five siblings, Rosie Sanchez, Marta Garcia, Guadalupe Alderete, Letica Garcia, and Sandra Hinson; her mother-in-law, Jan Ray of Pleasant Hill; brothers-in-law, Danny (and Stepanie) Ray and Jamie (and Sherry) Ray, of Pleasant Hill; sister-in-law, Belinda (and Barry) Mead of Pleasant Hill; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded. No services are scheduled at this time.
