Mark "Sarge" Hargrave

Mark Allen "Sarge" Hargrave, 59, of Blue Springs, Missouri, was born Friday, November 27, 1953, Northwest of Kidder in Daviess County, Missouri, the son of Edwin Lee and Ruth Maxine (Bratcher) Hargrave. He departed this life Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at his home in Blue Springs.

Mark retired from the United State Air Force as a Master Sergeant in 1992. Following retirement, he worked for the Department of Homeland Security at the Immigration Office in Lee's Summit.

Mark was preceded in death by his father Edwin Hargrave, and one brother John Hargrave.

He is survived by three daughters Dennise Osborne of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Wendy Hargrave of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Stephanie (and James) Fisher of Hurst, Texas; his mother Ruth Hargrave of Liberty, Missouri; one brother Gerald (and Rita) Hargrave of Kansas City North, Missouri; two sisters Alma Walls of Lexington, Missouri, and Francie (and James) Snodgrass of Independence, Missouri; seven grandchildren; other relatives; and many friends.

Cremation has been accorded. Graveside military services and inurnment were held Monday, June 10, 2013, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville-Assistance League and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
