MARY L. “LOUISE” YOTZ

Mary Louise Yotz, 85, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born, August 8, 1932, in Humansville, Missouri, the daughter of John F. and Pearl E. (Farris) Hurley.  She departed this life Wednesday, December 06, 2017, at her home surrounded with love and family.

Louise attended grade school in Freedom, Missouri; later attending East High School in Kansas City.

On January 28, 1950, she was united in marriage to Joseph Paul Yotz, II, in Kansas City, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on October 25, 2006.  Louise was also preceded in death by her parents and three of her siblings, Floyd, Ruth, and Sallie.

Louise was a homemaker. She also co-owned, alongside her husband, Legal Radio shop, Pizza on Wheels restaurant, and Landlord’s Helper cleaning service all in Independence.  She was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill.  She enjoyed spending time at Vesper Hall in Blue Springs dancing and playing cards.  She also enjoyed painting, jewelry making, traveling, and spending time with family.

She is survived by three sons, Joseph P. Yotz III of Pleasant Hill, Gregory A. Yotz and wife Laurie of Gridley, Kansas, Christopher S. Yotz and wife Paige of Kansas City, Missouri; three daughters, Sally M. Yotz of Oak Grove, Missouri, Bonnie S. Adams and husband Dennis of Lone Jack, Missouri, Jennifer L. Yotz-Moore and husband Paul of Carnation, Washington; her sister, Bonnie Kunkle of Sugar Creek, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held Friday, December 8, 2017, at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 9, 2017, at the funeral home.  Reverend Todd MacLean officiated.  Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Casket bearers were her grandsons: Bryan Adams, Damon Adams, Archie Bradshaw, Billy Griffith, Greg Yotz, Jr., and Seth Yotz.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Crossroads Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
