MICHAEL D. EMANUEL

Michael David Emanuel, 38, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born, December 31, 1982, in Independence, Missouri, the son of Michael Dean and Teresa Louise (Crouch) Emanuel.  He departed this life, Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the Belton Regional Medical Center.

Michael grew up in Independence and was a 2004 Andrew Drum High School graduate.

While in high school Michael worked for the Price Chopper at 23 ^rd and 291 in Independence.  In his younger years he enjoyed karate and playing soccer.  He also enjoyed playing video games, collecting baseball and football cards, sports cars, and muscle cars.

Michael was preceded in death by his father Michael Emanuel and his maternal grandparents Howard and Jo Ann Sunderland.

He is survived by his mother Teresa Emanuel of Independence; his sister Kristina Jenkins of Independence; three brothers Dustin Emanuel of Springfield, Missouri, Nicolaus Pope-Emanuel and Brandon Mooney, both of Independence; his paternal grandfather Junior (and Linda) Emanuel of Grandview; his paternal grandmother, Shirley Carpenter of Lee’s Summit; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded.

A memorial service was held Friday, September 10, 2021, at the funeral home.  Reverend Brent Blaise officiated.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
