Michial L. Swadley

Michial Lee Swadley, 71, of Pleasant Hill, was born August 25, 1952, in Independence, the son of Kenneth L. and Betty A. (Fleener) Swadley. He departed this life Thursday, November 30, 2023, at his home surrounded with love and family.

Mike was a 1970 Pleasant Hill High School graduate.

On July 17, 2000, he was united in marriage to Deborah JoAnne Miller in Harrisonville.

Mike was employed in Utility Construction working for several companies including Abby and Associates, Landmark Cable, Carolina Outer Banks, Cable Vision, and R& R Construction.  He and his brother also owned and operated B&K Construction.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, working on cars, working in his yard and garden, and metal fabrication.  He especially enjoyed time with family and friends. 

Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Debbie of their home; six children, Eric Harmon of Calhoun, Missouri, Brandy (and Boo) Springsteen of Foley, Alabama, Jennifer Harmon of Georgia, Heather Taylor of Butler, Missouri, Kendall Swadley of Harrisonville, and Dusty Eggleston of Pleasant Hill; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; his brother Rick Swadley of Greenwood, Missouri; other relative and friends.

Visitation and funeral services were held Monday, December 11, 2023, at the funeral home.  Reverend Creighton Cox officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Casket bearers were Dave Coin, Dusty Eggleston, Eric Harmon, Alex Coin, Karter Swadley, and Brandon Jackson.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Kansas City Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
